For more than 20 years, Cricket Australia and State and Territory Cricket Associations have delivered entry-level cricket programs enabling children to learn cricket skills in a fun, friendly and enjoyable environment. Australian schools continue to be an important channel for introducing cricket to children of all ages and provide a stepping-stone into longer programs and competitive junior cricket competitions.
The MILO T20 Blast School Cup has been developed to give primary school-aged children the opportunity to participate in a competitive one-day T20 carnival, playing an appropriate format of cricket that will inspire them to continue as a player and/or fan.
The next step for MILO T20 Blast School Cup participants is to register for the eight week MILO T20 Blast program in Clubs or Associations or their local junior club cricket competition.
The aim of the MILO T20 Blast School Cup is to:
- Provide a safe and friendly environment for children to participate in organised sports
- Continue development of basic motor and cricket skills learnt in MILO in2CRICKET programs
- Maximise participation for all players
